Share

Cal Poly Pomona has begun constructing an 18,000-square-foot food service building to be named for James A. Collins, whose restaurant businesses have donated $1 million to the privately funded center. Collins has been named chairman of the center’s board of directors.

The Collins Center for Hospitality Management, to open in spring, 1989, will focus on the study of food and beverage management. It will include a restaurant to be operated by students, kitchens, libraries, classrooms, a student lounge and management offices.
