Texaco Reports Record Losses

NEW YORK — Texaco Inc. lost a record $4.76 billion in the final three months of 1987 and $4.4 billion for the year because of charges stemming from its multibillion-dollar legal struggle with Pennzoil Co. and efforts to extricate itself from bankruptcy court, the troubled oil giant said today.
