Reagan’s State of the Union

Share

Reagan urged the passage of a constitutional amendment for a balanced budget. This advocacy is most bizarre coming from a man who is responsible for leaving our nation with the highest federal debt in our nation’s history. The President’s advocacy can be equated with an alcoholic lecturing against the evils of drink or a drug addict warning youngsters to say “no to drugs.”

In think the state of the union was more aptly described by Sen. Robert Byrd, majority leader, and House Speaker Jim Wright. I think it’s time to remove Hollywood from the White House and return our nation’s capital to its rightful owners, the people of this nation.
