George Will on Jesse Jackson

Share

What a waste, I thought to myself as I read one of Will’s questions to Jackson: “As President, would you support measures such as the G-7 measures in the Louvre accords?” Fifty years ago Will could have been in his element asking prospective black Alabama voters to “briefly explain the history and significance of Article 28a of the state constitution.” I don’t think Will is a racist: I think he just honestly and sincerely believes the country needs a President who is naturally buoyant.
