Cocaine Seizures Increase

WASHINGTON —
Cocaine seizures by the Drug Enforcement Administration totaled 35,970 kilograms in 1987, an increase of 8,800 kilograms over the year before, the agency has announced. It attributed the rise to increased cocaine abuse and “successful and aggressive law enforcement.”
