OSLO —
President Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev are among the 89 nominations received so far for the Nobel Peace Prize, a committee source said Friday.
There has been widespread speculation that Reagan and Gorbachev would be nominated since late last year, when they signed a treaty to ban ground-launched intermediate-range nuclear weapons.
The Peace Prize winner usually is announced in mid-October, and the prize is awarded Dec. 10.
