A third-quarter absorption study done by Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage Services shows that San Diego County office occupancy rate is at its highest level in six years, according to the firm’s San Diego district manager, James K. Stenderup.

“Given strong leasing activity and moderate construction levels, we can expect occupancy to climb as high as 83% to 85% by late 1988,” he said.

The study showed a countywide occupancy rate of 78%, up one point over the previous quarter and up three points over year-end 1986.
