Ford Motor Co. has begun exporting its U.S.-built Taurus station wagon and Bronco II sport-utility vehicle to Switzerland, adding the country to a small but growing list of importers of U.S. Ford products. Anton Wohlgensinger, general sales manager for Ford of Switzerland, said: “We believe that owning a Taurus or a Bronco II will be a status symbol.” In September, Ford began exporting U.S. cars and trucks to Sweden and began shipping the Taurus to Japan. Ford expects to sell about 500 of the cars and trucks through its 70 Swiss dealers this year. Dealers have about 200 of the vehicles on hand for introduction.
