Cherokee Group in North Hollywood agreed to buy Pallmark International, a shoe importer based in Canoga Park, for an undisclosed cash price.

Cherokee is a producer and retailer of women’s casual apparel and shoes. Its sales for the fiscal year ended Nov. 28 were $140 million. Pallmark imports shoes from the Far East, South America and Italy and distributes them throughout the United States. Cary Cooper, Cherokee’s executive vice president, declined to disclose the sales of privately held Pallmark.

Cherokee said it plans to merge its shoe division with Pallmark and to appoint Pallmark’s president, Mark Taxe, as president of the combined shoe operations.
