Alaska Air Group’s net advanced 39% to $24.7 million for 1987, compared to the year before. The results, which the firm said marked its 15th straight profitable year, included an $11.4-million gain from an accounting change. The Seattle company said Horizon Air and Jet America, both acquired in 1986, accounted for a substantial portion of its 52% increase in operating revenue.
