“San Diego Voices and Visions,” a KPBS television series profiling local poets, will feature Cesar Gonzalez on Tuesday at 10:57 p.m. In addition to being a poet, Gonzales, a Chicano Studies instructor at Mesa College, has published short stories and literary criticism.
His reading will consist of two poems, “Of Thee I Sing,” a personal piece about his father, and “Viatores summus,” a mood poem. Both works are part of “Unwinding the Silence,” a collection of his poetry published last year. The readings will also air on KPBS radio’s arts and information magazine program “San Diego On Air” at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
