EECO Inc. reported that net earnings fell 36% for the year ended Dec. 27, 1987, to $1.5 million from $2.4 million a year earlier. The company attributed the decline to a first-quarter loss of $573,000. Sales increased 24% for the year, to $77.7 million from $62.6 million in the prior year. For the fourth quarter, net income increased 18% to $717,000 from $606,000. Sales increased 19% to $22.8 million from $19.2 million in the prior year period. EECO, headquartered in Santa Ana, is a manufacturer of switch and keyboard products, airline passenger entertainment and service systems, hotel computer systems and computerized videotape editing systems.
