Thumper’s Found!

We told you that the Disney publicity folks were looking for Peter Behn, the child actor who provided the voice of Thumper the rabbit in “Bambi,” anticipating the film’s re-re-re-release this summer. Several friends saw the item and called Behn, 53, now a real estate broker in Warren, Vt.

The son of screenwriter Harry Behn, Peter says he originally auditioned for the voice of Bambi. He’s agreed to do interviews, but doesn’t remember much about the studio (except that he got to meet Walt Disney)--he did the recordings between the ages of 4 and 6. Behn says he hasn’t seen “Bambi” in 20 years, when his own kids were tykes.

But he does keep a drawing of Thumper on his office wall.
