Marantz, a Chatsworth audio concern, said it sold about $300,000 worth of assets to Fun Discovery in Chatsworth. Among the assets sold were the copyrights on illustrations accompanying books on tape for such titles as “Cinderella” and “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Proceeds of the sale will be used to reduce a debt incurred when Dynascan Corp. in Chicago acquired Marantz in February, 1987.

Fun Discovery is a new corporation created to purchase some of Marantz’ assets. Its president is Myron Morris, president of Menott Inc., a consulting company in La Crescenta.
