Luis Nogales, who has served as president of Univision--the largest nation’s Spanish-language televison network--for five months, said Tuesday he will step down. Nogales also announced that negotiations for the purchase of Univision by Hallmark Cards Corp. were completed Tuesday. Nogales, who is credited for improving the quality of Univision’s news programming, said a three-man executive committee, including Daniel Villanueva, general manager of KMEX (Channel 34) in Los Angeles, will run the network in the interim.
