Gary Dotson, the convicted rapist who was freed from prison in 1985 after his alleged victim recanted, was ordered to remain behind bars for six months for violating the conditions of his parole. The Illinois Prisoner Review Board in Joliet rejected Dotson’s plea for another chance and ruled that he had violated the terms of parole for failing to report to his parole officer last Dec. 24. The board ordered Dotson, 30, held in a state prison until Aug. 16, when he will be eligible for parole again, a Corrections Department spokesman said.
