MERCURY, Nev. —
Thirty anti-nuclear activists turned out at the Nevada Test Site Wednesday morning to begin the seventh annual Lenten Desert Experience.
No arrests were reported as members of the group sang and prayed at an area four miles from the gates to the top-secret site.
Several special protest events sponsored by the Las Vegas-based Nevada Desert Experience are scheduled during the 47 days leading up to Easter Sunday, April 3.
