USAir Group’s income climbed 97.8% to $194.6 million in 1987. The Washington-based holding company for USAir, PSA and Piedmont airlines noted that during the year it acquired Pacific Southwest Airlines and Piedmont Aviation and their financial results are consolidated with those of USAir.
