A group led by John W. Kluge, an ally of Orion Pictures management, said it had increased its stake in Orion to 30.9% and has notified antitrust agencies that it intends to acquire as much as 50%. The move was the latest in a duel for Orion’s stock that was set off by Sumner M. Redstone’s gradual acquisitions, which reached 26.8% earlier this month. Redstone also filed for antitrust clearance to boost his Orion holdings to 36%.
