Local News in Brief : New Building Limits Urged
Mayor Tom Bradley proposed a law Monday that would limit the height of apartments and condominiums built in Los Angeles neighborhoods.
Bradley suggested the law in a letter to city Planning Commission President Daniel P. Garcia. The mayor said the law is needed to protect neighborhoods of single-family homes from incursion by buildings that are too large.
Controls of the sort sought by Bradley have already been imposed in parts of Hollywood, Mar Vista, Wilmington, Sherman Oaks and North Hollywood.
