Remedy Temporary Services in San Juan Capistrano has been hired by Apple Computer to provide the electronics giant with computer-literate temporary employees.

RemedyTemp, which is training its Apple-assigned temporaries to use Apple’s Macintosh computer, plans to supply thousands of workers to the company at its Cupertino headquarters and at offices across the state.

Eighteen temporary services competed for the one-year, multimillion-dollar contract.

RemedyTemp said high-tech temporaries are in such great demand that it has formed a separate division to supply the needs of high technology firms.

The RemedyTech division will initially work out of some of RemedyTemp’s 40 offices in the Southwest, company spokeswoman Susan Stringer said. But Stringer said RemedyTemp plans to open separate RemedyTech outlets, probably in the Orange County and Silicon Valley markets.
