Gunman Frees 2 Lawyers at Urging of TV Reporter

NEW YORK —
A gunman upset by a court settlement held two lawyers hostage Wednesday at the Workers Compensation Board offices before releasing the men on the urging of a television reporter in a bulletproof vest, officials said. No one was injured during the standoff in downtown Brooklyn. The suspect was identified by police as Joseph Hugee, 32, of Queens.
