CAMPAIGN ’88 : TV Coverage to Shrink

Share
From Associated Press

NBC and CBS have each cut an hour from their prime-time coverage of the March 8 Super Tuesday primaries, saying it does not appear to be likely to produce conclusive results in the presidential race.

CBS had originally planned three hours of prime-time coverage and NBC two hours. CBS has scaled back to two hours that night, NBC one.

ABC is sticking to its plan to spend two hours of prime time covering Super Tuesday, in which 20 states hold presidential primaries and caucuses on the same day.
