Concurrent Computer to Provide Service for Delphi

Share

Delphi Information Systems, which sells computer systems to insurance agencies, said Concurrent Computer Corp. agreed to service the equipment used by most of Delphi’s customers.

Delphi, based in Westlake Village, combines computers made by Concurrent and International Business Machines with its own specialized software and sells the complete systems to independent agents in the property-casualty insurance field.

Tim Artl, Delphi’s vice president for marketing, said the three-year agreement would provide Concurrent, based in Tinton Falls, N.J., with about $10 million that would be paid by Delphi’s customers.

Delphi itself will be able to use Concurrent’s service as a selling point, and will save money by not having to service the computers itself, Artl said. He declined to specify the amount of the savings.

Delphi, which went public last July, has been struggling. In the nine months ended Dec. 31, the company lost $929,000.
