Two Scandinavian relief workers were freed today, less than a month after being taken hostage in Lebanon, the Swedish Foreign Ministry said.

The U.N. Relief and Works Agency confirmed its two workers, Jan Stening, 44, of Sweden and William Jorgensen, 58, of Norway, were released near the Summerland Hotel in Muslim West Beirut. Revolutionary Cells, the group that claimed it kidnaped the men, said in a statement that the two were released after being “proved innocent.”
