Commendation

I am writing to you to commend two of your writers for outstanding articles.

First, Kathleen Hendrix for the fine article on Prof. Noam Chomsky (View, Feb. 1). Hendrix handled a difficult assignment with exceptional perception and balanced writing. The entire article from beginning to end was superb.

Second, Dan Fisher in the article on Maj. Gen. Amram Mitzna (“Israeli Tries to Keep Peace and Not Treat Arabs as Foe,” Part I, Feb. 3) enabled the reader to have some meaningful insight into what is happening now in Israel and how this Israeli general is a caring human being who represents the Israeli government and its people. He must maintain both order and justice if peace is ever to be achieved.
