Oxfam Aides Kidnaped in Sidon
A British official of the Oxfam relief organization was kidnaped with a Syrian colleague in the southern port city of Sidon, Oxfam headquarters said today.
Peter Coleridge, 44, and Omar Traboulsi, 31, were seized Thursday night, Oxfam spokesman John Magrath said in Oxford, England. Coleridge is the organization’s Middle East coordinator and Traboulsi is its Lebanon representative, he said. No one claimed responsibility for the abductions, which brought the number of foreigners missing and believed kidnaped in Lebanon to 24.
