Squabble Over the Nomination of Lungren for State Treasurer

Your editorial “Who’s Minding the Store?” (Feb. 20) did not mention the fact that Gov. George Deukmejian has been elected twice to the governorship of this state (the second time with an overwhelming defeat of Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley). It is time for the Democrats in Sacramento (especially Senate President Pro Tem David A. Roberti and his cohorts) to stop throwing roadblocks to Deukmejian as they did in the nomination of Lungren to be the state treasurer and as they did to defeat Angie Papadakis as a commissioner to the state Board of Education.
