Santa Monica : Ban on Lawn Parking OKd
It will soon be illegal to park cars and other vehicles on front lawns in Santa Monica.
The City Council voted 7 to 0 Tuesday night to give preliminary approval to an ordinance that prohibits vehicles from being “parked or left standing on the front half of any lot in a residential district except on an approved driveway.”
Violators will be fined no more than $100, the law states.
The law faces a second reading and final vote before taking effect.
