From Mark Twain’s “Banned in Boston” file: George Michael, on tour in Perth, Australia, Thursday thanked Tipper Gore--wife to presidential contender Albert--for helping boost his “Faith” album (which contains the hit single “I Want Your Sex”) past the 10-million mark. Gore and her Parents Music Resource Center have lobbied against obscene lyrics in rock music. “Perhaps now she can help sell a few thousand more records since her husband won big in the primaries,” Michael suggested.
