World Court Asks Views on U.S. Ouster of PLO
The International Court of Justice on Thursday invited governments to submit arguments on a U.S. move to close the Palestine Liberation Organization’s observer mission at the United Nations.
The court said it will give the United States and any other U.N. member country until March 25 to present positions in writing and hold an open hearing on April 11 before ruling.
The U.N. General Assembly has asked the World Court to give an advisory opinion on whether the United States must enter into arbitration over the dispute.
