None Stressed Academics More Than USC’s Coach

Our son recently signed a national letter of intent to attend USC on a football scholarship. Jon Blank of Agoura (Viewpoint, Feb. 27) would obviously be surprised to learn that Mike chose to do so because USC offered him the best combination of academics and athletics.

Mike was recruited by more than 200 schools, and none stressed academics more than USC. Coach Larry Smith and his staff are to be commended for their commitment to academic excellence.
