Paramount : Park Renovation Completed

A $1.4-million renovation and remodeling project that began three years ago at Paramount Park and its community center has been completed. More than 250 senior citizens celebrated the newly finished project by eating lunch in the community center Tuesday, according to Joan Ferguson, Human Services Department manager. The seniors previously had met in the park gym during the remodeling.

Federal, state and city funds were used. The project included installing lights and a sprinkler system in the 12-acre park and building new restrooms and remodeling the lobby, three new offices and kitchen in the community center.
