In Steps of a President

Share

Thanks for the article by Jeff Fellenzer about Banff, Alta., Canada (Jan. 31). It was special to us because last summer we spent two days at the beautiful Banff Springs Hotel, where we ended up in the President’s Suite after a mistake in our original reservations.

We were astounded by the size of the suite, which had a grand piano in the step-up living room, a circular staircase that led to a library, a huge bedroom with a huge crystal chandelier and a tapestry on the wall over the head of the king-size bed, a small kitchen and two bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi. We believe that we may have been the only American “civilians” ever to spend the night in a $3,000-a-night presidential suite high in the Canadian Rockies.
