Londoners are getting a look into the gaudy life of Liberace. A steady stream of people flowed into a Christie’s showroom to view 42 items from the Liberace estate Friday and more are expected today. Christie’s will sell off 2,500 items April 9-12 in Los Angeles but first flew a few trinkets to London for the British to glimpse--like the entertainer’s mirrored piano, piano phone, some of his flashier costumes and a diamond-studded candelabra. Liberace died last year from AIDS. The auctioneer expects the sale of some of his possessions to total about $5 million.
