Six suspected gang members were arrested after Los Angeles police raided a Van Nuys apartment and found stolen property, including firearms, authorities said Sunday.

Police were called to the apartment in the 8200 block of Langdon Avenue about 9 p.m. Saturday by a resident who reported seeing several young men enter the home with guns.

Officers surrounded the apartment, knocked on the door and then kicked it open when the suspects refused to let them in, police said. As the officers went through the door, one officer’s gun accidentally discharged, but no one was struck by the bullet, police said.

The names of those arrested were not released.
