Local News in Brief : Westminster : Pair Accused of Raping Woman Acquaintance
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of raping a 23-year-old woman acquaintance in a motel room, authorities said Monday.
The woman told police that she was attacked by the two men in the suspects’ room at the motel in the 15000 block of Beach Boulevard about 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Westminster police said.
Police reported that the woman said that she knew both men but that she was staying in another room at the motel.
The suspects, identified as James Louis Gordon Jr., 30, of Redlands and Lawrence Victor Weems, 51, of Pasadena, were arrested Sunday. Gordon was being held Monday in County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, and Weems was held in lieu of $10,000 bail, officials said.
