An 18-year-old Palestinian was shot to death in the Gaza Strip during a day of protests and clashes, raising the unofficial toll of Arabs who have died in 14 weeks of unrest in the Israeli-occupied territories to at least 99. A leaflet published by the Palestine Press Service called for more attacks on Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers. It also urged all Israeli-appointed Palestinian councils to resign or face popular retribution. Meanwhile, Jordan’s King Hussein, opening a meeting of the 46-member Organization of the Islamic Conference in Amman, urged Muslim nations to support the Palestinian rebellion. He did not elaborate on what forms the aid should take.
