KINGS POINT, N.Y. —
A smoker whose husband obtained a court order limiting her puffing to a small room in the couple’s home now plans to kick the habit--despite an appellate court ruling which stays the order.
“I’m going to stop smoking,” Elizabeth Roofeh said Wednesday. “I’m going to a smoker’s treatment clinic. I’ve been coughing like crazy. I don’t think it is good for the kids.”
She and her physician husband, Dr. Jahan Roofeh, are in the midst of a bitter divorce action and are living in separate areas of their large house.
