The Raiders completed their coaching staff by hiring two assistants--Nick Nicolau, their third former Bronco coach, and Pete Rodriguez, an Ottawa Rough Riders defensive coordinator.

Nicolau, the backfield coach in Denver, applied for the offensive coordinator job vacated by new Raider head coach Mike Shanahan and resigned when he didn’t get it. He will coach the Raiders’ wide receivers and tight ends, and Rodriguez will be in charge of special teams. Tom Walsh, former receiver coach, has been named quarterback coach. Art Shell will remain as offensive line coach.
