Tandon Corp. posted increased profits for the fourth quarter and all of 1987. Much of the change for the quarter reflected the sale of assets and tax credits for previous operating losses by the Chatsworth personal computer company. Results for the year also included substantially lower losses from discontinued operations. For the three months ended Dec. 31, the company netted $15.3 million, compared to a year earlier when it earned $1 million. Revenue was up 115% to $95.1 million. For the full year, the company showed a profit of $27 million, a turnaround from a 1986 loss of $62.8 million. Revenue nearly tripled to $289.1 million from $101.8 million.
