‘Making Better Teachers’

Ho, hum, your series struck me as just another boring, uninspired attack on teachers today. “Ne’er-do-wells,” isn’t that how we are described? But then, how could we possibly hope to be respected and encouraged in a society that has sunk into an abyss of materialism, greed and decadence. For the thousands of teachers who daily struggle to teach and care for our rising generation I say, you do us a disservice with articles such as these that pass for thoughtful journalism. I’m proud to be a teacher and I refuse to accept this latest put-down. If our nation is going to retain its greatness, in large part it will be because of teachers who daily choose to serve, inspire and love our youth.
