DHAKA, Bangladesh —
A court has ordered six people to be hanged for killing a pregnant woman and her husband over a dowry dispute, police said. The couple were hacked to death in June, 1986, when they refused to pay dowry demanded by their newly wedded brother-in-law in the southeastern district of Comilla.
Judge Mohammed Habibullah also sentenced 25 co-defendants to be jailed for up to six months.
