John A. Lawson has been appointed vice president-sales and marketing of Roederer U.S. Marketing, Emeryville, the North America subsidiary of Louis Roederer, one of the world’s leading champagne houses. Lawson will be responsible for the U.S. introduction of Roederer Estate sparkling wine, the French firm’s first California-grown product. Lawson previously worked at the Robert Mondavi Winery in marketing.
