Richard Schwartz has been named to the newly created corporate post of vice president-database technology at Borland International, Scotts Valley. Robert Shostak was named to the new position of chief scientist. Previously, both Schwartz and Shostak were vice presidents of software development and co-creators of Borland’s Paradox relational database management system.
