Sidney Hansen has been named president of Trident Investment Management, a position left vacant for about a year. Hansen was named chief executive officer in July, 1987, and previously was executive vice president and national manager of investment counsel, supervising Trident’s equity and bond investment management activities. Before that, he was with U.S. Trust Co., New York, as vice president, and with Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. Anaheim-based Trident is a registered investment adviser that manages equity, debt and real estate investments, mainly for public pension funds.
