Looking Back From an ‘80s Perspective

Re “Hanging On to the ‘60s”: We parents who went through that nightmare of watching our children become all the things we were against were hoping those days were gone forever.

If the Los Angeles Times is going to make a commitment to the war against drugs (which I’m really wondering if it is), glorifying those terrible days is not the way. It was the beginning of all that is bad in America today.

The pictures of the girl sitting in the trash of Woodstock made me sick and made me cry. Why don’t you find her and find out how her life has gone since then?

If you will read your own paper and watch the news on TV, you will see the reality of the consequences of the changes that took place in the 1960s and 1970s. I dare you to find 10 really good things that came out of the changes of that period. I am a parent who never got over the ‘60s.
