Insurance Regulations

In response to Diana Hale’s letter regarding no-fault insurance (March 24), she is misinformed.
She made the statement that “while insurance agencies and trial lawyers are battling it out. . . .” Let me assure you that insurance agencies are buyers of insurance for clients. We, like our clients, feel the squeeze of redlining and exorbitant rates!
What she means to say is “insurance companies and trial lawyers are battling it out”--and indeed they are. No-fault is only one aspect of the ingredients in response that will begin to bring sanity into the insurance industry. It’s not a bad response at all and it must be considered. Not to consider it would be foolish.
