Claremont : Alumni Weekend at College

Pomona College’s yearlong 100th anniversary celebration will reach a high point during Alumni Weekend, beginning Friday, when hundreds of graduates are expected to arrive from all over the country.

Among the special events Friday will be a dinner-dance in a tent on Marston Quadrangle, where Les Brown and his Band of Renown will play. There will also be an Athletic Hall of Fame luncheon, an alumni art show, a talk by Michael Armacost, undersecretary of state and a former Pomona professor, and a performance of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”

Concerts, tours, athletic events and a review of the college’s history will be presented Saturday and Sunday.
