David S. Gedney will succeed James A. Caywood as president of De Leuw, Cather & Co. Caywood will become chairman emeritus of DCCO, a transportation engineering firm.

Gedney returns to De Leuw after 2 1/2 years as president of Harland Bartholomew & Associates.
